Also, as the leader in FDA consulting, our team of attorneys, consultants, and industry professionals offer a complete selection of services for companies dealing with FDA, USDA, EPA, and many other U.S. regulatory agencies. Contact us today to discuss what FDAImports.com can do for you!

Q: What happens once I submit my registration request?

Our registration professionals will quickly get to work reviewing and filing your registration. If we spot any problems, our team will contact you directly to correct the problems before we file your registration. After we have checked your registration information for errors and omissions, we will submit your registration to FDA. FDA then emails your U.S. Agent, requesting that they create an account and confirm their willingness to serve. Once that has been confirmed, we'll send you a confirmation that your registration has been filed with FDA.

Q: If I have already registered my food facility through a different company or paid another company to act as our U.S. Agent, can I still use your services?

Yes.You do not have to stay with a company that is overcharging or under-delivering. We can renew your registration, modify existing registrations, or take over as your U.S. Agent at any time. Visit our Registration and Listing Services Rate Sheet for a complete list of services and contact us if you have any questions!

Q: Why are you doing this? How can you offer a personalized, professional facility registration service for such a low cost?

We have been providing a complete range of professional FDA consulting services for years. During that time, we grew tired of seeing faceless online registration companies out to make a quick buck charging hundreds for a process we can do quickly and professionally. That’s why we used our years of experience to create the Low-Cost FDA Food Facility Registration System. We are confident that, once you experience our world-class professional service and our personalized touch, you will come back to us for all of your FDA consulting needs.

Q: What do I need in order to complete my food facility registration?

So that everything runs quickly and smoothly, we recommend that you have these pieces of information on hand before you begin:

1. Full address and contact information for the facility you wish to register

2. Alternate mailing/contact information, or parent company information, (if applicable)

3. Previous facility registration number and PIN, if your facility has been previously registered

4. The final step will take you to a Paypal portal, where you can enter credit card information or use your Paypal account.

Do I need to register?

Any facility involved in the manufacturing, processing, packaging, or importing of a food must be registered with FDA. All food facilities that meet this requirement must renew their registrations between October 1 and December 31 of every even-numbered year.

If you have previously registered your facility, you can update your registration and modify any information except the address; in order to modify the address, you must file a new registration.

If you are a new owner of a facility, and the previous owner has already registered the facility, you must still file a registration update. In order to do this, you will need the Registration Number and PIN assigned to the facility previously.

Do I need a US Agent?

U.S. law requires that every facility located outside the United States have a U.S. Agent. This agent is identified to FDA through the facility registration process. FDA uses the U.S. Agent to facilitate communications with the facility. FDAImports.com can serve as the U.S. Agent for your facility. Please note this is not the same as an FSVP agent, who has substantially different duties.

What is a Registration Certificate?

FDAImports.com can send you certificates providing proof of your facility registration or product listing with FDA. Though these certificates are not required by FDA, they can be valuable in facilitating business with your suppliers or customers, and can be renewed along with your annual or biennial registration renewal.

What type of business do I have?

FDA recognizes several types of business, as done in the United States, which correspond to foreign businesses. Here are some examples of business-type correspondences. If you do not see your business type listed below, you can find more information here, or contact us for help determining which US business type most closely corresponds to your business.
