Benjamin England to Present at Personal Care Products Council 2012 Cosmetic Science Symposium

FDAImports.com Founder and CEO, Benjamin England, will present on FDA’s PREDICT system and issues affecting the distribution and importation of cosmetic, drug and combination products from an FDA regulatory perspective at this year’s 2012 Cosmetic Science Symposium in Newark, New Jersey.   The Cosmetic Science Symposium is a yearly event put on by the Personal Care Products Council, the leading national trade association for the cosmetic and personal care products industry.  The Science Symposium addresses topics such as microbiology, quality assurance, safety and ingredients from a wide array of industry leaders.  Mr. England’s presentation will be held at 1:40pm on Wednesday, October 3rd.  The presentation, “Overview of PREDICT, and Finding Your Way Through the Maze- Case Studies Involving the FDA/CBP Interface,” will address:

• The effects of FDA’s PREDICT system

• Cosmetic and Drug importation requirements

• Common Import Alerts for cosmetics

• The FDA import process

• The role of FDA and U.S. Customs at the border

• Risk mitigation for cosmetic and drug products

 Mr. England’s firm, FDAImports.com, will also make available a 40 question FAQ guide for attendees of the Symposium that covers cosmetic and drug labeling, import issues, California regulation, combination products and homeopathic-specific issues.
