FDAImports.com and Mesh Intelligence – Providing Threat Intelligence for FDA-regulated industries

Sep 3, 2019 | Company News, Food, USDA

FDAImports.com has entered into a new type of Strategic Partnership with Mesh Intelligence that will bring together FDAImports.com’s deep technical, advisory and consulting expertise in FDA, USDA and Customs compliance and regulation, with Mesh Intelligence’s market-leading predictive food safety and security analytics and management software platform. Together the two organizations are announcing the launch of Threat Intelligence, a new service to help the world’s leading food organizations predict, manage and protect mission critical supplier networks to reduce risk of food recalls, supply chain disruptions and import delays.

Food recalls, compliance delays and import violations cost US companies over $3 billion annually. With the number of FDA-regulated product recalls growing at double digit rates annually, food companies are seeking better ways to predict and manage their exposure and costs. FDAImports.com will be working closely with Mesh Intelligence, leveraging the transformative power of predicted supplier risk and near-real time visibility into supply chains to detect, contain and remediate targeted food safety issues for its global client base. Mesh’s technology, coupled with the breadth of industry expertise FDAImports.com already offers, delivers insight into what is happening on their clients’ supplier networks on an ongoing and predicted basis, helping organizations monitor, assess, identify and manage the threats and vulnerabilities they face on a daily basis.

On signing the agreement with Mesh Intelligence, Benjamin L England, Esq., Founder and CEO of FDAImports.com and Founding Partner of Benjamin L England and Associates, LLC said, “We’ve seen FDA move from an emphasis that is primarily reactionary to a more preventative posture with the enhancements of PREDICT and implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). As our clients develop Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVPs), for example, they are seeing the regulatory, safety and commercial benefits to vetting and continuously monitoring their suppliers. They are keenly interested in tools that interpret supplier behaviors so they can focus resources where food safety risks are highest.”

Dr. Shub Debgupta, Founder and CEO of Mesh Intelligence added, “Our food safety is paramount. We at Mesh are on a mission to help our customers solve their most important food supplier risk challenges in innovative and cost-effective ways and reduce food recalls, waste and loss. We use powerful new technologies and predictive analytics to help food organizations secure themselves against supplier risk. And we are just getting started.”
