Benjamin England Discusses Orange Juice Safety on Bloomberg TV

Ben England on Bloomberg TV Orange Juice FungicideBenjamin England, Founder and CEO of FDAImports.com, was recently featured on Bloomberg TV’s Street Smart program regarding the safety of imported Orange Juice and FDA’s “stop and hold” policy for incoming shipments.

“The concentrations being found are extremely small, we’re talking 30 parts per billion, which is a very small concentration and so the chance of a safety problem is virtually none,” said Mr. England in the February interview.

Mr. England and his consulting firm, FDAImports.com, has been at the forefront of the recent orange juice/fungicide issue after it was revealed that certain Brazilian OJ imports showed higher-than-trace amounts of the fungicide residue, Carbendazim.  In recent months Mr. England has been featured and interviewed numerous times regarding the potential health risks and industry fallout that might occur as a result of the detected fungicide residues.  Mr. England’s firm routinely assists juice importers bringing product into the United States, assisting with compliance, facility, food safety and labeling issue.
