FDAImports.com Expands California Branch: Adds Senior Regulatory Advisor

Maryland-based FDA consulting firm FDAImports.com is proud to announce the expansion of its California office, adding Richard Chiang, former Compliance Supervisor for the Import Operations Branch of the FDA Los Angeles District Office.

Mr. Chiang’s dozen+ years at FDA specializing in food safety, field investigations/inspections, and import compliance management and operations included time performing field work, developing agency policy, and providing management and supervision of a group of FDA compliance officers covering all issues related to FDA jurisdiction and products. This experience gave him valuable insight into FDA’s future directions involving food safety, as he was involved in drafting food safety and compliance strategies with many of FDA’s food safety experts.  He has significant experience overseeing and reviewing imported products’ compliance, directing inspectional and investigational efforts brings that expertise to bear by assisting FDAImports.com’s clients with FDA administrative and regulatory enforcement actions including inspections, warning letters, 483 resolution, product recalls, import holds, detentions, refusals, and import alerts.  Mr. Chiang’s experience at FDA will provide our clients with a unique advantage in approaching FDA compliance, and his proximity to the busy Los Angeles port will facilitate many of their ongoing and new regulatory matters.
